Read On... If You Dare

So often in our lives, there are opportunities that pass us right by because we're so absorbed in our lives that we fail to notice them. Maybe that boy you just walked past without even looking up could have been your soulmate. Or that stranger on the subway you almost crashed into when the train rounded a sharp corner was a talent agent who would have given you a record deal. The point is that it's important to embrace life and live it to the fullest, because you never know what could happen.

I learned that lesson the hardest way. For the first thirteen years of my life, I believed I was invincible, clever, on top of the world. I saw those teenagers on TV, with their lives lying in ruin around them, and told myself that would never happen to me, that I was stronger than them. Until the year i turned fourteen... the year all those bad influences wore me down without my even realizing it, eroding my confidence and will more than I could ever have imagined. This is my 2008-2009 diary.
